Ref Finance is Making Discord the Central Location for our Community Events
Ref Finance is moving the central location for its community events from Discord, away from Telegram, from today (Nov 23rd) onward.
Our reason? It’s become clear to us that Discord is just better for building communities, combining elements of group chats, online forums and conference calls for a dynamic that is incredibly distinct and aimed at doing one thing, building a vibrant, communicative community.
This doesn’t mean that our Telegram is going away, it will still exist, but Discord will be the new home for most of our community events and will help us to become stronger together as a community.
As part of our move to Discord, we’ll be incorporating new channels and a remodeled server, opening up more access for our DAO members and launching more events, like AMAs and contests for our Discord community.
Over the next three weeks, we’ll be giving away $400 REF for members who join and participate in our Discord, and every Thursday at 3pm UTC we’ll be holding an AMA exclusive to our Discord server.
For our first AMA exclusive to Discord, we’ll be inviting @0x$Rust, @pironidi, and @rimberjack to talk about updates on Ref Finance, while they’ll also engage in a lengthy discussion on AstroDao and its connections to Ref’s mission to create a community-driven project.
You can get involved in our AMAs on Thursdays by sending your questions to us in our Discord chat. If your question is chosen, you will be rewarded with $10 REF.
